Wilton Consultancy Ltd. Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy & Counselling
in London Victoria and Westminster

Do you feel overwhelmed by intense emotional feelings or difficult life events. Maybe you don’t understand why you are feeling the way you do? Sometimes things can build up and feel overwhelming which might mean it could be the right time to seek support.

Why consider therapy?

Even when you have supportive relationships or are doing your best to manage on your own, it can still feel challenging to share your most personal thoughts and emotions. Therapy offers a confidential, non-judgmental space where you can explore these feelings more deeply, at your own pace, with the support of a trained professional.

We provide one-to-one therapy for adults from our comfortable rooms in London Victoria. Working with us offers a confidential, supportive space where we can explore your concerns together and begin the journey toward positive change.

We support individuals facing a range of issues, including:

*Loneliness and an inability to sustain long term relationships*

*The impact of emotional, physical or sexual abuse

*Depression or a general feeling of unhappiness

*Attachment / relationship issues

*Parental and family issues

*Stress, anxiety or anger that feels extreme and / or disproportionate

*Damaging addictions that feel controlling

 *Boarding school / education issues

*Bereavement and loss, incorporating many different kinds of grief :

~ the death of a loved one

~ the loss of parenthood through miscarriage and infertility

~ relationship breakdown.

Sometimes our experiences can leave us feeling insecure or lacking in confidence, making it difficult to form or sustain healthy relationships and cope with everyday life. Talking this through with a psychotherapist can help you to understand yourself and offer you different perspectives and a different experience of relating.

Psychotherapy provides a confidential space for you to express yourself and reflect on problems and their underlying causes.

Counselling or psychotherapy?

What’s the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?

These terms are often used interchangeably. However, generally speaking:

Counselling tends to be shorter-term and focuses on a specific, current issue.

Psychotherapy is usually longer-term and explores more complex or longstanding concerns, often rooted in past experiences.
