Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and Counselling in London Victoria
The Wilton Consultancy Limited was set up in its present form as a non-profit making organisation by Richard Gill, David John Kenrick and Helen Straupmanis in October 2015 to meet the growing need for accessible psychotherapy and counselling in the Westminister / Victoria area. All psychotherapists in Wilton Consultancy adhere to the codes of ethics of the UKCP.
We represent a small group of established psychoanalytic and attachment psychotherapists working in Victoria, central London. Why Psychotherapy and Counselling ~
You may have experienced one or more of the following at some point in your life:
* Loneliness and an inability to sustain long term relationships
* Depression or a general feeling of unhappiness
* Attachment / relationship issues
* Parental and family issues
* Trying to cope with feelings from past trauma or childhood abuse
* Stress or anger that feels overwhelming and out of proportion
* Work related issues
* Damaging addictions (alcohol, pornography, drugs, gambling etc) and food disorders
* Extreme anxiety, panic or suicidal feelings
* Bereavement and loss, incorporating many different kinds of grief :
~ the death of a loved one
~ the loss of parenthood through miscarriage and infertility
~ relationship breakdown.
Sometimes our experiences can leave us feeling insecure or lacking in confidence, making it difficult to form or sustain healthy relationships or cope with everyday life. Talking this through with a psychotherapist can help you to understand and value yourself more. It is not the job of a psychotherapist to tell you what to do but to offer you different perspectives and a different experience of relating.
Psychotherapy provides a confidential space for you to express yourself and reflect on problems and their underlying causes.
